PEX listed as Certified Vendor in MasterCard Wordwide Bulletin.... a first for Mauritius

PEX, the  leading  payment  card  service  provider in Mauritius  is now  certified   under  MasterCard's  "Global  Vendor  Certification
Program" (GVCP),  as an independent 'Vendor' offering  card production and personalization  services in the SAMEA (South Asia
Middle-East Africa) region. PEX is the first vendor based in Mauritius that has been listed by MasterCard in its Bulletin.

MasterCard  GVCP  has a rigorous  system of certification  processes  covering all components of card personalization
and  production   in  the  premises  of  a  "Perso   Bureau",   the  term  applied  when  referring  to  a  Vendor's   Card
Personalization  Center. Standards  applying  to the different  features of the Bureau are clearly  defined by Master
Card and need to be scrupulously  complied with in order for a vendor to achieve certification. Card  production
activities subject to compliance   under  these  Standards  include  by  way  of  example  and  not  limitation,
the  treatment  and safeguarding  of  cards,   printing,   embossing,  encoding,  and mailing,  as  well  as
to any  phase  of the production  and  distribution  of MasterCard  cards  or card  account  information.
Additionally,  vendors  need  to comply  with  the card  and  cardholder  data  protection  standards
which  require  them to ensure that cardholder and account information is stored and used in a
secure manner designed to minimize the likelihood of internal theft or misuse.

With this certification, PEX is entitled, as an independent Vendor and through its Card
Perso Bureau, to offer to local and foreign banks the following services:

Sailesh  Sewpaul,  Group  Chief  Executive  of PEX, said, "This  certification is yet another  milestone  for  Payment
Exchange  towards  our  enterprise of becoming  a one-stop-shop  payment  card service provider. We are now
more  geared  towards  meeting  all the  outsourcing  requirements  of a much  larger  customer  base.  Our
potential customers can now capitalise on reduced investment costs and our wealth of expertise in card
 processing and acquiring business."

indication  of  our  ever-expanding  presence  in the  region. It will allow for more flexible card
